We Are Back!
Over the past few Winter months we have taken a break, leaving MSLB in the hands of friends. We hope you have enjoyed the business in our absence.
But we are now back in action! Keep an eye out for our new menu items, which have taken inspiration from different places in the world.
How It works
Through our updated system, all existing (and new) customers are required to sign up again using the ‘Sign Up and Start Ordering’ option on the Home Page.
From this simple sign up and verification process, all that is left to do is to register your child/ren under the list of serviced schools and corresponding years. To find out if we service your school or business, check our list on the About Us page.
All that is left now is to order, the process beginning with the ‘Place Order’ tab at the top right of the website page. You can select an unlimited amount of menu items for any number of children, on any chosen date. By clicking on an item you engage a drop down option, which allows you to choose how many of this item your require as well as any further options that it involves. For example, a vegemite sandwich has the option to be on wholemeal bread, white bread a wrap or baguette.
Once you have completed your order, you will be taken through our secure payment gateway where you will have the option to use Paypal, Visa or Mastercard. Orders must be made and paid for fully, before 8am on the day of delivery.
All that is left is for you to send your child off to school, looking forward to a nutritious yet delicious lunch.
Orders can be made up to two weeks in advance and each order must be paid in full up front.
We do not, at this time, deliver recess to any school. We can however, supply after-school-care packs.
You can place orders fortnightly, weekly or even daily. Your order can include any combination of children, classes and days.
Delivery and packaging
Lunches will be packaged in 100% recyclable lunch boxes, because My School Lunch Box is passionate about looking after the environment we live in. These lunch boxes are labelled with your child’s name, year, items and school. After being packed the lunch boxes are then placed in either a ‘cold’ (with freezer bricks) polystyrene, or ‘hot’ polystyrene box, depending on the items you select. These boxes are delivered to your child’s school, just before their lunch time (as advised by staff). Each school has a nominated spot for these boxes placement, which is primarily at the office. Any exemptions to this rule will be outlined as follows:
St Thomas Aquinas: Library.
Katoomba Public: Library.
Where the food is made
My School Lunch Box uses a commercial kitchen, based in Leura, to produce outstanding meals for your children. On our regular checks with the council, we have achieved the highest level of food safety practice and hygiene.
Orders can be placed on the site at any time, and should be submitted no later than 8am on the morning of the day you wish the lunch to be delivered. This means that by 8am, the order and payment has to be completely finalised.
If you miss the cut off, or are concerned that your payment might not have gone through quite on time, then give us a call (no emails please!), on 0425346704, so we can make sure that your child gets their lunch.
If your order goes through any second after 8am it will otherwise go in for the following day (available to your school).
If necessary a particular day’s order may be cancelled by calling us on 0425 346 704, before 9am on the day of delivery. Cancellations must occur before 9am. If we cancel an order (or part of an order) before the 9am cut-off we will provide a refund for the cancelled items.
Any cancellations after 9am on the day it is to be delivered will be non-refundable.
No emails or texts for cancellations please.
At My School Lunch Box we do our very best to deliver a perfect product, accurately, every single time. If for any reason we can not deliver on a particular menu item we will contact you in advance to discuss an alternate option. This may be a refund, swapped item or postponed order.
We do our utmost to ensure our online menu is current and accurately reflects the availability of seasonal products.
We operate a nut-free kitchen, in accordance with school regulations. We do also provide a range of gluten free options, but can not completely ensure they are 100% free of gluten as there items are also produced in our kitchen with glutenous ingredients. We do, however, keep a high level of separation and sanitisation when preparing these foods. Different knives, chopping boards and cleanly washed hands are maintained.
We value your privacy!
We only capture the minimum data required to provide you with our fresh wholesome lunches. This includes your name, email address and contact phone number, as well as the name of each child, class and School.
Unless required by a court of law we will not share your personal information with any third party.
You are able to contact My School Lunch Box at any time if you require your information be deleted.
We do not collect or store any credit card or payment information… ever.
Payment can be made via Visa, Mastercard or PayPal.
Payments are made via a secure trusted payment gateway. (Braintree: by PayPal, and PayPal)
All orders are paid in full when they are placed.
